Surf trip to Piha

The wave was big and jonny was small

It sucked him out body and all

5 minutes passed before the call

for help was heard by the others all

5 more minutes of jonny floundering

the waves were giving him a right old pounding

stuck in a rip he couldn’t get out

it wasn’t long before the shout

to get the lifeguards was bandied about

the lifeguards ended jonnys thrashing

meantime the huge waves just kept on crashing

a lonely freestyler was getting a trashing

on and on the waves kept bashing

eventually came a lull in the surf

out paddled chris like papa smurf

in came chris with the freestyler too
