Save the Matakitaki
Network Tasman propose to destroy the iconic Middle Matakitaki, with three possible dams on the river. Kayakers put on a good showing at a recent meeting in Murchison. Network Tasman are asking for feedback before deciding whether to commit to a feasibility study on the scheme. We're asking everyone who has enjoyed the Middle Matakitaki to write down why they think it's such a precious resource.
