Gear Hireage
Before you can get on the water and become a super awesome kayaker with AUCC you are going to need some gear, or kit. Luckily for you the club owns and maintains a signifigant amount of gear which we can lend out to our members and even some non members, in order to help you out.
We have all the essential gear you need to kayak or raft with us, and even have some super awesome deals with kayak gear suppliers for when you are ready get your own.
Hiring out Gear:
We have all the basic gear you will need for rafting and kayaking, this includes a life jacket, spray skirt, paddle (kayaking and rafting), helmet and of course a boat. Other gear such as polypro and/or a wesuit is recommended for most club events but not owned by the club. GEAR WILL BE PROVIDED ON CLUB TRIPS.
To hire out gear for a trip for non club trips. you will need to get in touch with our Gear Shed Officer Capt. Isaac at aucanoeclub@gmail.com with GEAR HIREAGE in the subject title.
Hire Fees:
Gear may be hired at the set rates below which go towards the cost of maintanence.
Kayaking Rafting Member $10 per day $15 per day Non Member $20 per day $30 per day
Hire gear must be returned to the gear shed for the hire to be deemed ended. Hired gear that is not returned will still be charged for.
